Weekly Prayer Meetings

The Lord calls us to be a people who pray; who come to Him with praise and petition with thanksgiving. This is something that is directed in Scripture to happen both privately (just us and Him), and corporately. We see in the book of Acts that the Church regularly assembled to devote themselves to prayer, “And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” (Acts 2.42) So, we gather weekly to pray together to the Lord our God for, among other things, our church body, our community, our nation, our world, our leaders and for the in-breaking of God’s Kingdom.
